Rafting in Poland and Abroad

Rafting is a mountain form of river rafting, most often organized on inflatable equipment such as pontoons, kayaks, rafts or packrafts. The word rafting comes from the English word Raft, meaning raft.

Rafting organized by companies specializing in this type of activity on mountain rivers is very safe.

Rafting is assessed on a scale from 1 to 6, where the so called (WW1) means very easy to (WW6) extremely difficult, threatening health and life. Mostly commercial companies organize rafting trips up to scale (WW3), i.e. medium level of difficulty.

No swimming skills required for swimming in easy rivers. On rivers of medium difficulty, it is best to have such skills.

The best rafting in Poland with an average level of difficulty can be experienced on the Białka River, the Wietrznice Kayak Track or the easy one on the Dunajec River.

Preferably laced on a solid sole, suitable for walking on rocky surfaces, or specialized neoprene ones. Flip flops are not suitable for rafting because they can be easily lost while wading in the water.

Packrafting is an ultra light, usually single person kayak/pontoon that allows it to be used for swimming on mountain rivers.
