Kayaking on the whitewater river, avoiding rocks, breaking through a strong current and waves are just some of the things you will doing at the course. Extremely manoeuvrable and durable mountain kayaks helps you overcome even the most rocky and rapid rivers, giving you incredible joy of crossing it.
The trainings takes place under the watchful eye of whitewater kayaking instructors, sportsmans, polish representatives at the Championships. The goal of the course is to familiarize yourself with the basic techniques of kayaking mountain rivers in scale of difficulty WW1 / WW2, familiarize yourself with the terminology used in mountain kayaking, acquire basic knowledge about rescue and safety in the water. After 3 days spenting on the water, participant acquires knowledge and skills allowing for further training on mountain rivers in scale of dificulty to WW3. The activities are conducted in small groups, where the instructor have maximum of 6 participants. We make every effort to ensure that the trainings we organize give the best result and maximum safety.
Price includes:
- 12 hours of whitewater kayaking lessons (for 1 person),
- The care of experienced whitewater kayaking instructors,
- Professional equipment: 1-person kayak, paddle, waistcoat, helmet, spraydeck,
- Protective clothes: neoprene wetsuit, waterproof jacket,
- Entrance ticket to the Pieniny National Park,
- Transfer to individual sections of the route.
The price not include:
- Accommodation (extra fee accommodation in our “Wietrznice” Sports and Recreation Center” – from PLN 45 / night),
- Drive to the place where the course starts.

- Shoes (possibility to buy neoprene shoes in our shop)

How to prepare:
- Take thermoactive clothing or lycra, T-shirt, gaiters, underwear, socks, towel (you should take on cold days hat and warm clothes to wear after activities),
- To replenish energy you can take: tea, coffee, candy bar, fruit mousse in sachets, water,
- You can take a cycling gloves or gloves at the gym.

Schedule- level I
In the first class you will learn everything about the equipment you will use during the course. The next step will be to agree on the rules of safe kayaking on the river. You will learn how to recognize various phenomena occurring on mountain rivers, how to recognize the danger and how to behave when, for example, a kayak capsizes, i.e. the so-called “cabin”. The next step will be to learn the basic techniques of rowing on still or slow-flowing water. Once you master the basics, you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge on a stronger current. On the next day, you will be rafting down the Dunajec River, where numerous rapids will test your skills. On the next day, depending on the water level, we will sail down a new section of the river or practice on the track.
DAY I – Friday
13:00 Arrival and accommodation,
14:00 Start of classes: Theory – familiarization with the equipment, discussion of safety rules, discussion of phenomena occurring on rivers, warm-up on land (approx. 1 hour), Classes on still or slow-flowing water: cabining, rowing, turns, tilts, counters, turns (about 1.5 hours), Break (20 minutes) · Classes on slow-flowing water: techniques of buoying on mountain rivers, rowing, going out into the current, entering/exiting backwaters, promotion, traverses, teaching tips (about 1 hour).
18:00 End of classes.
DAY II – Saturday
9:00 Meeting and departure for rafting on the Dunajec Rive
9:30 Start of classes – rafting along the section of the Dunajec River Sromowce Niżne – Szczawnica (about 14 km) or Szczawnica- Wietrznice (17km) Improving basic techniques such as: front and back rowing, returns, backwater entry/exit, promotion, traverses, Break (about 30 minutes), ·Technique and improvement of previously known elements, perfecting spouts (about 2 hours),
14:00 end of classes, return by bus to Wietrznice.
DAY III – Sunday
10:00 Start of classes: · Classes on the track or rafting along the Wietrznice – Łącko route (about 9 km). Warm-up on land/water. Rafting and exercises on selected sections of the river. Perfecting the techniques learned on more demanding rapids (about 3 hours),
14:00 end of classes.
Schedule -level II
Level 2 of the whitewater kayaking course is aimed at all those who have completed level 1 of the course, or have experience in whitewater kayaking and want to further improve their skills of moving on a mountain river as well as rescue and belaying. The program of the course involves improving and learning new techniques of kayaking on more difficult sections of the river. Learning and learning the rules of Eskimo, hook counter, surfing on the wave, controlling the kayak in reel, learning to buoy, and practicing more advanced rescue and belaying techniques, such as frog.

DAY II – Saturday

9:30 Start of classes: learning to read the river, catching backwaters, playing with the river current, surfing the wave.
14:00 End of classes return to the resort. * In the evening, theoretical classes for volunteers 🙂
DAY III – Sunday

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the courses run by experienced instructors?
Our staff consists of former and active members of the national team, including two-time Olympian Paweł Sarna! They are titled competitors and experienced mountain canoeists – members of many canoeing expeditions on the most difficult rivers in Europe, enthusiasts of many sports.
Do the instructors speak English?
Most definitely, our instructors speak English. Do I need to know some kayaking basics? Don’t worry, we’ll teach you everything 🙂
Is the minimum age to participate 12 or can a younger child participate?
In fact, age does not play a role here. Willingness, commitment and general physical fitness count. We have children’s kayaks that allow you to start your adventure with whitewater kayaking at the age of 7.
